If you came here, you know about the Elgato StreamDeck and know that it is perfectly fit to be utilized in our shared “best space sim ever”-dream.
As a fan of Star Citizen and Animation / Graphic Design, I conjured the idea of doing something little bit unique, in giving the icons we like to use for SC a bit of an edge.
Animating them.

How To?
The StreamDeck Software gives you the ability to pull the GIF-files onto hotkeys.
Drag and Drop the GIF-File onto your hotkeys that you route to the keys – that’s pretty much about it.
You can build your own profile and customize it to your needs.
There is a premade profile you can use included in the download.
I would suggest you use a page dedicated to a ship you own. So you would have different functions and needs if you fly a Mole or a Gladius, so you make a folder for the Mole that focuses on mining and all the necessary hotkeys and an icon for the Gladius, while the folder icon of those two is the startup sequence.
Profiles for those specific ships or roles are also provided, but as I do not own every ship in the verse, or too many gameplay loops are not yet established, you excuse if one or another is not represented.
Screensavers can be defined in your options on the steamdeck under the Devices-tab, just set the GIF into the image holder and click on “Set Animation”.
These icons are and always will be FREE!
But, costs time and money, a possible donation helps a lot and keeps this thing running.
I can also only make use of the ships that I owe or that I can research easy, so if any manufacturer seems off to you, or an icon for a feature that I have no use for seems off to you – tell me and I can fix it.
But now, go retrieve your ships, try to get into elevators, ask for opening hangar doors and go live that dream of the perfect space sim.
